A Urogynecologist is a physician who has undergone specialized training in, and focuses on the care of women suffering from pelvic floor disorders. After completing medical school and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Urology, a Urogynecologist completes additional specialized (“fellowship”) training in the evaluation and treatment of conditions that affect the female pelvic organs, muscles and connective tissues.
Common problems treated by our Urology of Indiana Urogynecologists include urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse (droppage of the pelvic organs), among others. Our board-certified Urogynecologists have passed an exam jointly offered by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Urology.
As always, you should feel free to ask about the credentials and experience of any doctor who is treating you. View our Urogynecology website page for more information, and meet our team.
